Liberty Quarry with a 75-year shelf life will negatively impact you, your children, grandchildren and successive generations. We did not move to this beautiful area to see it become an industrial site or a mining town.  Liberty Quarry, if approved, will pollute our clean air, greatly compound traffic problems and cause our homes to be worth less. Ron Goldman, Director of the Riverside Planning Department after reviewing Granite's EIR states:
 
"The impacts to our communities are significant and unavoidable in air, traffic, water and biological resources."
 
Granite's pockets are deep and it stands to make several hundred million dollars. They will continue to spend whatever amount is necessary to have their way. We can't expect to match this spending, however, David did beat Goliath.
 
Funds are necessary for legal review and commentary on Granite's 8,000 page Environmental Impact Report. Experts are necessary to evaluate and in many cases refute the best money can buy reports of Granite. Advertisements and mailings are essential to neutralize the advertising blitz we may expect from Granite.
